Dan Gordon: Originator/Writer/Producer
Dan Gordon was conceived in Alberta Canada, born in Los Angeles California and raised there and in the Valley of Jezreel in Israel.
His screen credits include" The Hurricane" (Academy Award nomination - Denzel Washington), "Wyatt Earp" ( Kevin Costner), "Murder In The First" ( Gary Oldman, Kevin Bacon), "The Assignment" (Sir Ben Kingsley , Donald Sutherland) , and the upcoming "George Foreman Story" ( Sony). He has over two hundred hours of television credits and his plays, performed on Broadway and in The West End include the stage adaptations of "Rain Man," "Terms of Endearment," "Murder in The First," and Best Broadway play nominee ( Outer Circle Critics Award) "Irena’s Vow."
For City of 72 Names, he has drawn extensively on his own 45-year career as a soldier and officer in the IDF, serving in six wars beginning with the 1973 Yom Kippur War. He has served as a sniper/ squad leader in the armored infantry, as well as in the Israel Air Force, Military Spokesperson Brigade and most recently, the elite Givati Infantry Brigade.
He has also drawn extensively on his own family history and lore. On his mother’s side, Gordon is a descendant of the Poliakov family which was one of the only Russian Jewish noble families and which also boasted the reputed Latvian Jewish gangster and horse thief, Srulik Yankel Poliakov, Who met his demise at the end if a rope.
On his Father's side Gordon’s relations included Marc Chagall, Der Blinder Rebbe, Reb Yisrael Ben Shmuel Dov Kahan, Who became one of Jerusalem’s most famous rabbis in the late 1800’s, Haiman Cohen, Western Albertan pioneering Jewish Cattle Rancher, and reputed relation of Chinese General Morris “ Two Gun” Cohen.as well as Israel's second Prime Minister, Moshe Sharett ( née Shertok). Gordon’s foster father, Chanan Greenwald was a founding soldier of the Palestinian Buffs Unit and The Jewish Brigade of the British army in WWII. He has drawn heavily on his families’ personal stories in the writing of this epic drama.

Jonas McCord, Executive Producer/Writer
Jonas McCord has a distinguished career in New York and Hollywood where he has worked for over 30 years. He is a two-time Emmy winner, recipient of The Peabody Award, and honored with a special Academy Award for his Director/Writer/Producer work during that time. Here are some examples of his wide array of experiences.
- He has served as Executive Producer/Writer/Director of multiple TV series and movies for television and estimates that he has supervised the production of over 100 hours of television, including Steven Spielberg's award-winning film "Class Of '61" starring Clive Owen, and "Women Of Valor" starring Susan Sarandon.
- As a documentary film writer/director/producer, McCord was awarded a Peabody for his work on "Vietnam Requiem" made for ABC and a subsequent special Emmy and British music awards for his work on Paul Hardcastle's award-winning music video, "19."
- As a feature film writer/director McCord has partnered with such talented peers as Robert Towne, Aaron Sorkin, Gene Roddenberry, Phillip Noyce, Nick Cassavetes and Steven Spielberg. From 2001 until the present, McCord has produced over five major feature films including, "Ask The Dust," which was co-produced with Tom Cruise, starring Colin Farrell and Salma Hayek. McCord's award-winning film, "The Body," starred Antonio Banderas.
- He also was instrumental in the story and producing the docudrama, "God, the Father" about the conversion of the mobster, Michael Franzese.
